The Salāt

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ

عَيْنِ العِنَايَةِ وَإِمَامِ الهِدَايَةِ

 وَمُزِيلِ الغَوَايَةِ

وَرَسُولِ السَّلَامَةِ وَالبَرَكَةِ وَالأَمَانَةِ

وَالعَدْلِ وَالاسْتِقَامَةِ وَالشَّرَفِ وَالكَرَامَةِ

وَالوَجْهِ المُنِيرِ وَالْجَيْشِ الغَفِيرِ

وَالعِلْمِ وَالكِتَابِ وَالسُّنَّةِ وَالصَّوَابِ

وَالإِسْلَامِ وَالإِيمَانِ وَتِلَاوَةِ الْقُرْآنِ

وَالعَفْوِ وَالغُفْرَانِ وَالفَصَاحَةِ وَالبَيَانِ

النَّبِيِّ المَحْبُوبِ الصَّادِقِ المَصْدُوقِ

الْمُفَضَّلِ الْفَاضِلِ الْمُكَمَّلِ الْكَامِلِ

الْمُقَدَّمِ الْمِقْدَامِ الْمُصَلِّي بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامُ

نبي الخَيْرِ وَالصَّلَاحِ وَالهُدَى وَالإِصْلَاحِ

وَالدَّعْوَةِ إِلَى اليَقِينِ وَالفَتْحِ وَالتَّمْكِينِ

وَالسِّرِّ الْمُبِينِ

Transliteration:

Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā sayyidinā Muḥammadin ʿayni l-ʿināyah,wa imāmi l-hidāyah wa muzīli l-ghawāyah,
wa rasūli s-salāmah wa l-barakah wa l-amānah,
wa l-ʿadli wa l-istiqāmah wa sh-sharaf wa l-karāmah,
wa l-wajhi l-munīr wa l-jayshi l-ghafīr,
wa l-ʿilmi wa l-kitāb wa s-sunnah wa ṣ-ṣawāb,
wa l-islāmi wa l-īmān wa tilāwati l-qurʾān,
wa l-ʿafwi wa l-ghufrān wa l-faṣāḥati wa l-bayān,
an-nabiyyi l-maḥbūb aṣ-ṣādiqi l-maṣdūq,
al-mufaḍḍali l-fāḍil al-mukammali l-kāmil,
al-muqaddami l-miqdām al-muṣallī bi-l-layli wa n-nāsu niyām,
nabiyyi l-khayri wa ṣ-ṣalāḥ wa l-hudā wa l-iṣlāḥ,
wa d-daʿwati ilā l-yaqīn wa l-fatḥi wa t-tamkīn,
wa s-sirri l-mubīn.

Translation:

O Allah, send blessings upon our Master Muḥammad, the very essence of divine care, the Imam of guidance and remover of misguidance, the Messenger of safety, blessing, and trust; of justice and uprightness, honor and nobility; radiant countenance and vast multitude; of knowledge and the Book, the Sunnah and what is right; of Islam and faith, the recitation of the Qur’an; of pardon and forgiveness, eloquence and clarity; the beloved Prophet, the truthful and confirmed; the favored, the virtuous, the perfected, the complete; the foremost and valiant, who prays at night while people sleep; the Prophet of good, righteousness, guidance, and reform; the call to certainty, victory and empowerment, and the manifest secret.

The Reservoir

There are moments when the heart does not need one more idea. It needs to be gathered. When life becomes loud, the seeker can fragment into pieces: a little knowledge here, a little guilt there, a little longing, a little fear, and no single thread strong enough to carry them back.

This ṣalāt begins with the name that heals that condition: ʿayn al-ʿināyah, the very essence of divine care. Care here is not a soft excuse. It is a force that guides and clears. The prayer immediately pairs it with leadership and removal: the Imam of guidance and the remover of misguidance. An Imam is not a signpost that points the way and stays behind. An Imam stands in front, and the road becomes walkable because you are not walking it alone.

Then the prayer builds a refuge you can live inside. It names safety, blessing, and trust before it names anything else. A safe heart can return. A trusted path can hold. Then it names justice and uprightness. This is not comfort without structure. It is mercy that straightens the spine of the soul and makes life livable again.

And because we often split the religion into fragments, this prayer refuses fragmentation. It gathers the whole road: Qur’an recitation and faith, the Book and the Sunnah, rightness and clarity, pardon and forgiveness. The Prophet ﷺ is praised as beloved and truthful, perfected and complete, so the heart can follow without fear of being misled.

Finally, it points to where certainty is forged: the night. He ﷺ prays while people sleep. He is awake in worship when we are asleep to our own needs. Night is where sincerity is purified, and yaqīn is made firm. From that inner firmness come openings and establishment. The prayer ends by gesturing to a depth that words can only point toward: the manifest secret.

So if you feel scattered, do not demand that you become whole in one day. Begin with care. Ask Allah for ʿināyah through His Beloved ﷺ, then take one small act of istiqāmah, and take one small share of the night, even if only a minute. This is how the refuge becomes a path.

The Return

When you feel scattered, return to this ṣalāt as you would return to shelter. Ask Allah for ʿināyah through His Beloved ﷺ, and let that care gather you, guide you, and steady you. Then take one small step of istiqāmah, and let a sliver of the night renew your yaqīn.
